Networking Resume | Pitch Deck | Reference Sheet
If all you want is a resume, I price this separately, and the price depends upon the complexity of the project. Generally, single resumes start at about 1% of your targeted salary, but may cost more or less, depending on the length of a candidate’s career and level of responsibility and how much work is needed to bring the document up to current standards. Bundling provides you the opportunity to receive a cohesive package of products – with the addition of a cover letter and training to use the resume, the profile, and letter for various additional roles.
In addition to a resume and a profile, I offer an array of additional products that can enhance your marketing package. These are designed to add value and showcase you as a standout candidate. These include a professional bio and a professional “pitch” presentation that highlights you career achievements and values. I have had clients win job offers because they were the only ones who used this additional marketing collateral. Ask me about these extras! I take pride in creating something that is made just for you.
BONUS: Purchase a package and add an additional product for a special price!
Here are some of the additional services:
- A customized slide presentation about you (impress the hiring team!)
- A neatly organized sheet of your employment references (make it easy for HR)
- A professional bio (for interviewing, consulting, applying for membership on a board)
- A “networking resume” that is used exclusively to introduce yourself to contacts (great for consulting!)
- A “30-60-90” plan you can share with the hiring manager to show how you would handle the role
I never advise candidates pick stand-alone services, because a job search is never about using only one tool. But your situation is unique. That’s why I created these additional products to make sure you are fully armed for the many different situations that they will encounter – and to give you edge over other candidates.
A bio by itself is not enough to make a full impression. But there are circumstances that call for them, including speaking engagements, company websites, or entrepreneurial pursuits that don’t require a full resume.
The job market is competitive. It’s great to have a little extra something to set you apart from the other candidates. Additional products such as personal pitch decks are extra firepower to support your candidacy.
Put Yourself Above Your Competition
Imagine that you and another candidate are evenly matched with the same skills and qualifications. What would set you apart? You. Because you have chosen to showcase your value in a slightly different way. You are the one who will be remembered during the internal discussion because you took an extra step to explain how you are the right fit for the role.
Additional pieces for your marketing package can help you stand out. Why would you want to be cookie-cutter candidate?
A candidate recently told me he thinks that the pitch deck I created for him was the reason that he got hired over a couple of other people.
If you feel like you’re getting lost in the pack of applicants; you’re not hearing anything back; or you aren’t managing to get an offer: That’s how you’ll know that you need a different strategy. That is an area where I can help!
I can personally attest from my own career, that doing something a little different from the other candidates will get you hired. For instance, when applying for writing jobs, I always had a “leave-behind” product ready to provide – something that showcased my work from a different angle.
Stand-alone products range from $500 to $1000 and include some questions about your goals and your achievements. But the price drops dramatically when you package them with other services. Why? Because I know you already! They are “add-ons” extending the work we have already done.
